What a Weekend

Another weekend has come and gone and we finally took Miss Adi on an outing other than to firends houses who live close or family! Thank you to Harry, JoEllen, Elly, Lorelai and baby Harry for having us for the day! I learned what it is like to have 4 kids in the same house under 4 and let me tell you...I applaud JoEllen and Harry for such an amazing job they do with their 3 little angels!!! I will stick to our 1 angel and borrow theirs once in awhile!!! :)

Adi finally got her bumbo too! We decided we better go with yellow...JUST in case a #2 comes along!

3 MONTH PICTURES

3 MONTHS...ALREADY!!!!!

Today marks a big day in the Thompson household! Miss Adelyn Jo has hit her 3 month mark!!!! She is absolutely amazing! She is such a smiley baby all the time...even when she sleeps for 8 or 9 hours straight when we go to get her from her crib we are greeted with a big beautiful smile! She is getting so much more stable now. She sits by us on the couch and gets so much more tummy time now. Don't get me wrong, she isn't the most fond of tummy time, but she gets at least 5 minutes at least 3 or 4 times a day and sometimes more! It wont be long and our little princess will be rolling over!

As much as all of this makes mommy and daddy so proud, it also makes us sad! Daddy doesnt show his sadness but my goodness mommy gets a bit emotional about all of this! I can't believe that 3 months ago at almost this time I was telling my doctor, "okay, get me the good stuff! I am not getting a prize for NOT taking meds so let me be comfortable rather than in pain!" HAHAHA! And not too long after that I told my anesthesiologist that I loved him!!!! HAHAHA! My oh my!

At 7:55 p.m. October 27th our angel was born...life will never be the same and we thank God for that!

December 19th

Adi's baptism was December 19, 2010. We had a wonderful day filled with alot of family and a few friends. Originally we were scheduled for the weekend before but church was cancelled that day due to a snow storm followed by -30 degree wind chills! Here are a few pictures of her special day...

Today we had to take Adelyn to the clinic. 2 days ago I noticed her tongue was pretty white...I let it be for a day thinking that since we are starting to very very slowly start the switch from breast milk to formula that there was just a coating of milk on her tongue. This continued to get worse so I decided it was time to get her checked out. Sure enough...thrush has hit our household. Not only does Miss Adi have it on her tongue, momma has it on her breasts as well...so I am sure we are just passing it back and forth.

So now the decision is in my hands...now that I know I have a bacteria on my breasts, this may explain why they are soooo raw/sore all the time. I wouldnt think bacteria would mean raw but, I may stick it out for the next few days to see if this medication works for us and then maybe I will be able to continue breast feeding little peanut.

We shall see! I will just be happy to no long be uncomfortable or in pain and I am sure Adi will feel the same way! I keep being told that a happy mommy = a happy baby!!!!

Adi's First Adventure

This New Year brought our first family weekend getaway and it was GREAT! Adi did AMAZING on the drive up! We were invited to Nick's brother Bob's cabin for the weekend with his family. Normally it is about a 4 1/2 hour drive BUT, we ran into an ice storm and it ended up being a 6 1/2 hour drive and we only had to stop 1 time 5 hours into the drive for 15 minutes to change Miss Adi's butt and feed her, then back to sleep she went! The drive home we made it all the way back to the Dells before it was hungry time! She is such a trooper!Sadie, their family dog was a bit jealous, as she LOVES me...BUT, she was REALLY good with Adi...no problems there! You cant see it, but in this picture, Adi is laying right on top of Sadie and they are both sleeping!

They have wood heat in the cabin so it was roasty toasty warm so Adi was in HEAVEN as she would much rather NOT be in clothes than BE in clothes!!!!

2 MONTHS

We can't believe our sweet baby girl is already 2 months old! My how time flies when you are having fun!!! We are on a really AWESOME sleep schedule with the peanut! If she doesn't sleep through the night until 5:30a.m. (ish) she wakes around 3a.m. eats and back to slumber land she goes!!! Not always does she fall right back to sleep, BUT she got a glow worm from Mommy & Daddy for Christmas that is on a timer for 10 minutes and she LOVES him! He sings her right back to sleep! December 27, 2010 our baby girl turned 2 months...

We love watching the growth from month to month!
