Summer Ending

Now that Ryleigh has her own big girl bed the girls love reading stories on the floor with daddy. Ryleigh has decided that she will NOT go to bed nicely if mommy puts her to bed so she gets daddy every night. After we read story in Ryleigh's room, mommy and Adi head to her room for some good mommy snuggle story time. Bedtime is such a fun time. I love the time when the girls are winding down for the day and are rubbing their eyes. This will go so fast and I truly try to take in the moments as I know what will come one day!

We took the girls berry picking...my knee is not forgiving on hills, so I watch and take photos. We took ZERO berries home because the girls ate them ALL!!!
Festival of the Mounds is always a fun time for us. Adi especially loves it and being in the parade with Donna and all of her cheerleaders. She truly is a lucky girl. We MAY have Friday night football games in our future!

Eugster's in Oregon is a favorite of the girls. Milking the cow by far takes the cake for the girls. They think that is the coolest thing EVER! Of course, we could stay and fee the baby goats all day too!

The Life of July

July we decided to take advantage of our amazing photography friends talent (studio4photography) and boy did she catch our family at our best and most silly! These moments of our girls being this little will not last forever and I would have pictures taken monthly if we could!

July was our annual "fishing" trip to Canada! We headed up with Jon and Andrea which was a great treat! They are a bit more die hard fisherman than we are, we tend to go for the social vacation as well! HA! It worked out great and I like to think that we have made lifelong friendships in the families we have met! The girls did not go with us this year, but we hare hoping next year it works! Ryleigh was a bit too small still at this point this year and I dont think its fair to take a family trip with one kid and not the other, SO lets hope next year works out!!!!

When we returned from Canada, Olbrich Gardens had their butterfly display open so Jessica asked to take the kiddos with them. Of course the girls were over the moon and spend the night with their BFF, Emma. I love these 3 girls!
July also brought some change to Miss Ryleigh's world. She was having some major issues in her crib SO, we decided to put her in a big girl bed. Well, that didnt work so hot, she just wanted to sleep in her rocking chair that was given to us by Nana before she passed away. I think Nana may have a beautiful hum for Miss Ry and she feels most comfortable in her chair. However, sleeping in the chair was causing her to not get a good night sleep so we decided we had to take the chair out of her room. :( She was not a happy camper but has learned to sleep in her bed so it's a win for us all.

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY PRINCESS!

From her first moments of life, our little Ryleigh Jean as been a spit fire. She came a full month early and has not slowed down. She keeps her sister on her toes and keeps us on our toes every second of every day and we wouldn't have it any other way. Well, maybe to share some of that energy she has so we can try to keep up! She is such a snuggle bug, a momma's girl and an all around good kid. She's shy at first but once she opens the gates, look out!!! We love you to the moon and back a million times over baby girls!
She is so proud to have moved up to a big girl bike, as you can tell by the cheese smile!

The picture below is the perfect picture of my Ry...she is so sweet and shy at times, yet when she is mad, the world better look out! Happy second year of life my girl...cant wait to see ow that 3rd year unravels! Love You!

June ...

June brings us the Mount Horeb Frolic which is always fun for the kids. This year Emma and Jessica went with us so that was EXTRA special for the girls and for Adi because she got to go on bigger rides versus just the little kid rides! Ryleigh squeeled and giggled and was SO proud that she was allowed on rides by herself this year. Typically big sis is with her so it was a treat.

Adi's new best friend, Savannah! Poor little pup was drug around like Adi's little baby doll and heaven forbid if Adi let her walk! It was so fun!
After visits from friends, daddy took Adi fishing. They dug for worms and all. She LOVED it! Didnt catch anything, but that's how fishing works and she was happy to just go!
Breakfast on the farm in Dane County brought out THOUSANDS of people but I think the favorite of all was the girls getting to climb around in the firetrucks!

We were very fortunate the miss a tornado that hit Verona. We were hit pretty hard and had a massive mess to clean up, but were lucky enough that cleanup is all we needed.
Both girls started swimming lessons this year. Ryleigh was a parent class and Adi either went in the parent class or a step us with kids all older than her, so we decided we would rather them get the experience separate so we will have Adi take the same class next time because of age. it was a great learning experience for both of the girls.

The girls are growing up so fast. It is amazing. I know everyone says it flies by and they are so right. The hard days are hard, but the good, easy days totally outweigh the bad and we are SO lucky to have these two little peanuts in our lives.

May 2014

Early May we got to go meet Bucky Badger at Ballweg Chevrolet in Middleton. As you can see by the photos, Adi was ALL about Bucky and wanted to follow him around and play hide and seek with him...Ryleigh on the other hand, she was no so enthused but by the end of our visit she gave him a high-five so I call that a win. While we were there they took the pictures and had all the fun stickers for the girls to make their own "frames". Lots of fun!

May brought Adi's last day at Forte Dance studios in the "Baby Boogies" class. She LOVED every second of it and was so proud of her award as she should be. She has some listening skills to work on but Miss Alyssa was very patient and kind and loving to the kids and that's all I ask for.

I cannot tell you how much Adi adores Emma. She is the one girl, younger than adult that Adi admires and looks up to. And, let me tell you what a great role model Miss Emma is for her. She works hard in school, she works hard in sports (and dance which is AMAZING to Adi :) ) and most of all, she is an all around amazing, kind, smart, sweet little girl that we are SO very lucky to have in our lives!
We also traveled to Wausau to see family from Michigan that we dont get to see very often. The girls had a blast with their little cousin Aubrey and it was so nice to get to visit with Hans & Jenn too! :) As you can see, fun was had by all!
