Yes, I know this is all rolled into one but life gets busy and I forget to update the blog! So, here goes
Adi had to get a hair cut! Her hair is sooo long and curly that she was getting split ends terribly! I was nervous as I only allowed NO MORE than 1 inch...I want to keep her curls as long as possible! She was such a trooper. I had to assure her that Donna would NOT cut ALL of her hair off and when she realized I was telling the truth and with Donna's reassurance we were good to go! :)
Ryleigh's moment to shine is her getting attention now with all of her curly hair as big sissy is usually the one getting all the hair attention. Not that Ry really cares, but, mommy loves her girls' curly hair! Adi is our little poser and loves having her pictures taken.
February marks Circus TIME!!! We had a blast going with Jessica (Jekicha as Adi says!) and Emma, two people of whom Adi says are her best friends forever! :) Adi and Emma had their faces painted which was really fun for them. Ryleigh, not so much. A stranger dressed in a wild costume was not for her but as you can see...we was perfectly content checking out Adi and Emma.
The motorcyles were mesmerizing...
AND Exhilarating!!!!
St. Patrick's Day is not a holiday we really celebrate, as we are not Irish, but, it is still fun for us and the girls!
As you all know, we have 2 labs and Gretta who has shown interest in
birds but hasnt been hunting for quite some time. I guess Nick chooses
his deer over pheasants, so she is lacking training but we thought what
the heck, lets give it a try! It was AMAZING! Complete and total
instinct and she did AWESOME! Found em and kicked em up! Nick and I were
happy happy owners as neither of us thought she would do very well. She
proved us ALL wrong and it was a blast! She got lots and lots of yummy
treats for all her hard work!
The newest addition to the family is our stray kitty who decided to show up and not go away. Her name is "Goofy Pluto" and that name is courtesy of Miss Adelyn. I guess she may have had Micky Mouse Clubhouse on her mind or something! Anyway, Goofy Pluto has been a very nice and friendly kitty to have around and is definitely doing her job at keeping mice away...We have not seen ONE since she has been around! And, Adi has completely fallen in love with her which is why daddy has decided he will let her hang around and not help her "disappear". With him being VERY allergic, I am glad he has decided to let her stay for Adi. Adi has found a new best friend as you can see!
April...yes, APRIL!!!! Wow! We got to spend a little time at Grandma and Grandpa Robson's house where the girls received some fun Dora and Hello Kitty toys that are staying at G & G's so the girls have them to play with at later visits. This month marks Adi's 3 1/2 year old birthday! YIKES! 3 1/2 years old! She is getting to be such a spunky girl and I love it! Now Ry, she is our head strong, independent little girl! Wow the difference in these two. It is incredible. But, April marks Ryleigh being 22 MONTHS old!
We visited a local Easter egg hunt where the girls got to see the Easter bunny. Adi loved him of course and Ry...well, Jessica, Ben and Emma were along so Jessica held Ry while I had the camera ready and she said "are you ready?" She set her down on his lap and I started snapping away...it lasted about 2 seconds as you can see her looking and just after I snapped this photo the screaming and running took place! But, all in all our visit with the Easter Bunny 2014 was great!!! :)
Easter Sunday we celebrated and reflected with family and friends the Resurrection of Jesus Christ by attending church as a family and having brunch with my family and dinner with Nick's family. We are not big into a ton of candy and all that jazz on Easter but we do have baskets and egg hunts as the look on the girls' faces are priceless and I LOVE that! :)
