11 Months!!!!!!

My how time really does fly when you have two little munchkins to love and snuggle! Ryleigh is now 11 MONTHS! I simply cannot believe it! This time last year I was in a world of aches and pains that were oh so worth it! Love these little peanuts to pieces! At eleven months we are motoring right along! Not walking yet, which is fine by me! Chasing one outside is enough right now! Thank goodness we have a co-parent household so Nick can chase one and I can chase the other!

Miss Ryleigh is nothing like her sister. She is very boisterous and mommy's girl 1,000%! She is finally eating big people food, as she was pretty addicted to her baby food which was fine by me. Her sister would eat hardly half a jar and Ryleigh will mow down two jars at a time without a problem. She is now standing and pushing her walker and crawls alot faster. She is a giggle monster and loves to be held and tickled. Big sis is starting to have more fun with her now that she can crawl and get into more mischief. I dont have stats on her yet but give me a couple weeks for her one year check!

 Yes...she wanted to wear "pretty" like mommy! Mascara was her "pretty" of choice!

Mother's Day/Memorial Day

Mother's Day weekend was busy, great and hard all at the same time! Nick and I were able to get some "us" time Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary. Sunday was spent in a pretty big rush, but was fabulous as the girls and I had a Mommy & Me photo shoot with a local photographer who took time out of her very first mother's day to let us enjoy our day! It was so special and I got some EXCELLENT pictures of me and the girls which will be cherished FOREVER!

Monday however was  a very heartbreakingly bitter sweet day...we had to lay Nick's aunt Deb to rest as her four year battle to cancer was lost! She is no longer in pain and this is the bitter sweetness but, her life was taken too young as she was a vibrant, active, AMAZING woman! It is so sweet when we take Adi to bed at night, she no longer prays for Aunt Deb, she prays WITH Aunt Deb which hurts my heart but also makes me so proud that our daughter is so loving!

We were able to make it to yet another wedding May 18th which was fantastic and a great time to just get out and let loose on the dance floor! Sadly the girls were unable to attend with us as there were stairs EVERYWHERE and belconies, etc., so we got yet another adult evening with family! It was nice!

Memorial weekend was spent indoors alot and outdoors during the times it was not raining! I havent had time to get any of my flowers planted, so now we actually have some color around home now! We had alot of family time which was wonderful. What better way to celebrate all of the brave men and women who fight daily for our freedom! God Bless them all!

June will bring more running as we have graduation parties, Father's Day, birthday parties and more! We are bound to have a nice weather weekend at some point! Until then, I am stuck in the girls' closets trying to be out with the small and in with the new that actually FITS!

Been Away

I have been away for quite awhile! Not by choice though! My blog had decided to not let me post anything new! In a nutshell life is FANTASTIC! We have more hard days than ever right now because Ryleigh has decided that she is 100% mommy's girl (which I love) but she has now started daycare 2 days a week. Nothing breaks my heart more than to have to PEEL her off of me and hand her over, or as soon as we walk through the door while I am still holding her she starts crying! It is hard, this mommy business! But, I know it is for the best, and, she will learn to love daycare, someday! She is crawling like crazy, pulling up on stuff and has recently began to let go while standing up and falls down right away! Okay by me...I am not ready for her to be walking yet. She is only 10 months old!

Big sis is such a joy! She has finally started showing interest in the ABC's which is just darling! I have been singing the song to her since I felt her kick in my belling for the first time. Maybe this is why she has had ABC anger!?!? Adi is such a daddy's little girl, which I love! It melt my heart to see those two together and the love they have for each other, it is heart melting! Now that it is warm outside, we run around ALOT, play on the play set daily, go for Ranger rides, which are Adi's favorite! She is happy that I have let the reigns go a little bit now and let her out of her carseat in the open fields and let her sit on daddy's lap to drive. On the road it is a no-no and they are both strapped it! Adi is becoming protective of her toys now that Ryleigh is up and moving around, but she is learning to share. I know it is something all kids go through.

May is busy for all of us. Last weekend we had a friend's wedding, this weekend Nick and I are going away for 1 night to celebrate our anniversary. Sunday of course is mother's day and I have the pleasure of taking the girls to a mommy and me photo shoot...I am soooo looking forward to this! It will be a great keepsake for us girls! Next weekend we have another wedding to attend and then on to memorial weekend! Hoping we get to sneak away for the extended weekend but all depends upon the flood stages!

Unfortunately Sunday night Nick and I have to head up to Michigan to attend Nick's Aunt Debby's funeral. She has had a long, grueling fight with cancer and it is just heartbreaking! Nick and I have been so close to Deb and Wally that as hard as it is to say, we thank our good Lord for taking her pain away but in the same breath think about how we want her here with us! Will never forget the talks I had with her. She was the strongest woman I know and I need to strive to be as strong as her and such a great person!
