Busy August

Life has been hectic but fun! Earlier this month we took a little mini vacation to see Nick's cousin's who live in Michigan, Hans, Jenn and their beautiful baby girl Aubrey! We only got to visit for 1 night but it was a nice, quick visit! Everyone is so busy to make it any longer! After we visited the cousins, we headed off to Glidden to stay at Bob & Tanya's cabin for a few days! I dont know if they realize how appreciative we are to be able to borrow their beautiful cabin from them! Every time we visit it is wonderful! We stayed there 3 nights and then headed home. While we were there we did a little sight seeing, visited Copper Falls State Park (which is GORGEOUS!!!) and just relaxed a little bit! The girls did absolutely WONDERFUL on the drive. Only had to stop 1 time for Ryleigh to eat on the way up and the way home! Adi has always been a great car rider too!

Nick, Adi, Ryleigh, Hans & Aubrey!
Really, I promise we brush her hair daily and fix it but, her hair is just WILD!
Adi's favorite place to "hide" at Uncle Bob & Aunt T's cabin!
Adi helping daddy get the sleds all ready for the winter!!!!!
Ryleigh was a trooper in the carrier and Adi was our big girl hiking right along side us!

Pictures

A couple weeks ago we had some newborn photos, family photos and photos of the girls taken but we have not received them back yet. A good friend of mine suggested trying a newborn setup with Ryleigh so I couldnt resist! It did turn out quite like we had planned because she is not in that tucked in position anymore, but the idea was great and I still love it! Ryleigh on the other hand was not so thrilled about the prodding and propping on towels!

This was the prior to Ryleigh photo...

A smashed up bow and an angry baby later and we got this shot!

FIRST MONTH

July 25, 2012, Ryleigh turned 1 month, ALREADY! They really mean it when they say time flies when you are having fun! Im not going to lie...they first 2 weeks were pretty rough but it was a huge adjustment for all and healing and working on breastfeeding, it's just a lot to handle! But, we are getting on a pretty good schedule as Ryleigh is waking between 1 & 2 a.m. for a feeding and then between 5 & 6ish at which time her and I get up for the day! It is nice not waking to an alarm clock and getting up and facing the day! I am not a morning person, but with Adi going to daycare 3 days per week, it is a nice way to get into a good routine before I head back to work! We now have Ryleigh switched over to formula and it seems to be working great for all. She wasnt taking to the Similac Advance very well, so I switched her to Similac Sensitive and she seems to be doing very well on that! It is only day 2 so we will keep an eye on it to see how she does. I do still have frozen breastmilk, so she will still be getting her nutrients from that as long as possible too!

Blue eyed beauty!!!
