4 Weeks

It's hard to believe it has been 4 weeks since Ryleigh joined our family! She is doing really well! We are having some spitting up issues and she is having a hard time going to the bathroom but we are dealing with what comes our way! This weekend was fun! Grandma and Grandpa Robson kept both girls for us for a few hours on Saturday and Nick and I headed to Richland Center to watch the tractor pulls and then on Sunday, my great friend Andrea suprised us with a visit. She visited with the girls for awhile and then her and I headed up to Mount Horeb Art Fair on Main Street for a couple hours! It was a nice little break! Nick had it easy as  we left just before nap time so he only had Ryleigh to contend with!

Ryleigh did get her first "real" bath and she does NOT enjoy even one second of it!

Love this Crazy Life

Life as we know it is officially crazy, we are pretty sure for the rest of our lives, but we wouldnt have it any other way! Our girls are doing so great! Adi is the best Big Sister Miss Ryleigh could ever ask for and Ryleigh is an amazing baby and such a blessing to our family! Now, those 3 a.m. feedings are hard, I'm not going to lie, but seeing her progress and watching her grow is so worth the lack of sleep!

Last week, July 10th we had Ryleigh's 2 week Well Baby Checkup and everything looked GREAT! We do have a bad case of thrush/yeast (whichever you prefer to call it) and it isnt getting any better yet. Ryleigh is on medication that has to be put in her mouth 4 times/day for 14 days and I am also on some medication because I too have it in my mouth as well as on both of my breasts. It has now been over a week since I have been able to nurse her, so we will probably say this was the end of the road for nursing, but I am still pumping as much as I can to keep her on breastmilk as long as possible! It is amazing the amount of pain mommy's go through for their children, but she is worth it!

Her stats:

Height: 20 inches (36%) - apparently the hospital and the clinic measure differently because she is .5" shorter than when she was born!

Weight: 7lbs. 10 ounces (26%)- she was 7 lbs. when we left the hospital so we are happy she is gaining!

Head Circumference - 14.5 (69%)

Adi is adjusting well to her new baby sister! she gives lots of hugs and kisses and is now trying to help ALOT! She now thinks it is okay to try to pick up her sister so we cant blink an eye for a second!

Fourth of July was fun for us even though we didnt get to go see any "big" fireworks, Adi was happy with the little ones Aunt Missy & Uncle Aaron bought for her to see! We also finally got a mini little photo shoot of both of the girls in their outfits for the 4th along with the big sister/little sister shirts!

Adi is so proud when she gets to hold her baby sister!
I think Ryleigh had enough poking and moving around by this time! :)
Big Sister & Little Sister

This past weekend we got to have a great visit with Harry, JoEllen and all of the kids! We dont get to do this nearly enough and it was very nice to see all of them and introduce our newest little peanut to the clan!
Harry, Harry, Nick, Elly, Adi and Lorelai off in the Ranger while JoEllen, Ryleigh and I relaxed at the house!
Adi has got herself a new buddy!
Adi and little Harry were having fun kissing at each other through the window of the Ranger!

Ryleigh Jean Thompson, 7 pounds, 7 ounces, 20.5 inches long entered this world with a bang! She is absolutely amazing and we are so blessed to have her in our lives!
