HECTIC!!!

I havent blogged for quite some time! We have been in the midst of painting the kitchen, upstairs hallway and stairway as well as the baby's room! It is taking MUCH longer than expected as we had to do a few more coats of primer than expected, but what can we do? Just go with the flow! Thank goodness Melissa has been helping SOOOOOOOO much with the entire project or Nick would be in a world of hurt as I am not as much help as I would love to be!

May 5th we started the kitchen and finished May 6th! I LOVE it! It is so much brighter and cleaner! I WILL post pictures at some point, but I have to download them first!

Melissa has been such a HUGE help with all of our projects! We owe her BIG time!

Nick helping out!

I was VERY reluctant about the red as we first started putting it on (testing BEHIND the stove) but now that it is done, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!

The red on the 2 pieces of trim just MAKE the kitchen!!

The next weekend, the 12th was Cade's 13th birthday so we went to his birthday party! and Sunday was Mother's Day! Mother's Day was simply. Amazing! I am so blessed to have an amazing husband and daughter! We started the day with daddy and Adi bringing mommy toast, strawberries and orange juice to bed (we were going to brunch so Nick kept it simple!) and then up to see my gorgeous new rose bushes Adi picked out, all on her own! ;) I received the most amazing cards that about brought me to tears because being able to just spend the day with my husband and daughter was the best day ever! We were off to have brunch with my sisters and mom which was great! We then headed home and Adi took a nap. While she was napping I got to get 12 of my hanging baskets/planters all planted! It was a GORGEOUS day to be planting! Then off to Nick's mom and dad's to have dinner with them! It was a nice evening to sit out on the deck and grill out!

The 19th we had a quick meeting in the morning and then it was home to hang out and let Adi play and then that night Nick kept Adi and went to his parents to see his aunt debbie and uncle wally who were visiting from Michigan while I headed to Reedsburg to watch Emma in her dance recital! She did AWESOME! I am so proud of her for working so hard and continuing with dance!

Saturday the 20th we had a nice little visit with Harry, JoEllen, Lorelai and little Harry! No Elly this visit as she got to go with her aunt for the day! So, Nick, Harry and all 3 of the kids took off in the Ranger for a few little rides and boy did they have fun! And actually Nick and I were laughing because Lorelai rode with Nick one time and at the end of her ride she leaned her head out around nick and in an ever enthusiastic voice looked at JoEllen and I and said "THAT WAS FUN!!!!" And fun it was! It was a nice visit!!

Shame on me...I didnt get my camera out, but JoEllen did, so I stole this picture from her blog! Harry, Lorelai, Little Harry & Adi waiting for Nick to go on a Ranger ride!

18 Month Well Baby & 28 Week OB

A couple days of dr. appointments and we are good to go...well, mostly good to go!

Adi's 18 Month well baby check went great! Her developmental test she scored 100% so is either at average or above average for her developmental skills! I know every parent wonders if they are working enough with their kids or working too much but scoring 100% tells us all that we are doing a fine job and we all need to keep up the good work! She is talking so much now...not in complete full sentences, but my goodness she is a talker! She is simply amazing and amazes me daily with her learning capabilities and cuteness!

Her stats were as follows:

Weight: 23lbs.2oz (25th percentile) ... yep...she is still our little peanut and I LOVE it!
Height: 33 1/4 inches (90th percentile)...yep...she is still tall like her daddy!
Head circumference: 49cm (95th percentile)...yep...she STILL has a big head! She needs that to hold all that information she is taking in! :)

Basically, she is perfect! We sure do love our little girl and are so incredibly blessed to have her in our lives!

My 28 week OB appointment went as well as can be expected. I am finally measuring right on for fundal height so that makes me feel better about the size issue! Big baby, little baby, I am happy any size but as all women who have given birth, we would prefer average versus above average! Healthy is all I am concerned about at this time! We are going to have me continue with my bi-weekly maternity massages and will add in chiropractor now too! I have also been looking into pregnancy yoga and have been suggested by my OB to try acupuncture! I have to do some checking but will definitely keep my options open at this point! ONLY 12 WEEKS LEFT! Time is FLYYYYING by!

This weekend is nursery painting and hallway painting! Last weekend we painted our kitchen which I LOVE! Just a little clean up to get us by until funds allow us to redo our kitchen!
