Brad Paisley & Snow!

Big thanks to Auntie Melissa for watching Adi last Thursday so Nick and I had a date night to see Scotty McCreery, The Band Perry and Brad Paisley! Nick was a trooper as this was not his idea of a date night, but I had received these tickets as a birthday present and we had a great time! I had a cold but tried to make the best of it. All 3 acts were phenomenal and Brad Paisley is quite the entertainer! And of course he played our all time favorite love song, "She's Everything" which was our first dance song at our wedding! So romantic hearing/seeing it live!

Last weekend Nick was spoiled and enjoyed a boys weekend up North with his brother Bob and nephew Wyatt to do some snowmobiling! Of course this trip was all for me because he wanted to "check out" the trails to be sure I would be able to ride when we go up North this weekend! (ha!) He had a good time and put on some miles which is great! Daddy time is nice and much deserved!

This weekend will be the first time we leave Adi for the weekend and as much as I am excited to go away, I HATE leaving her! She is going to spend some time with grandma and grandpa while we go up North where they are expected to get 12-15" of FRESH SNOW TODAY and TOMORROW! Woo hoo! As much as it breaks my heart to leave her, we also need some mommy/daddy time too and she will be just fine! So, Thursday night to grandma and grandpa's we go...we will put her to bed and not leave until she is asleep and then we will make the 4 1/2 hour drive North and be back Sunday!

18 Weeks

We had our 18 week checkup today and all is great! Heartbeat was 145bpm and we have an ultrasound in 2 weeks to have a detailed look at our little guy/girl! :) Bad picture, but this is as good as it gets today! :)

15 Month Well Baby Check

It was here and gone a few weeks ago...Adi's 15 month birthday that is...but with the sickness going around I did not feel comfortable with her getting shots while trying to break molars in AND being sick! She is doing much better now, with a little runny nose and a cough here and there but, it is cold season and nothing can stop a cold!

Here are the stats...

Weight - 21 lbs. 9oz. (25th percentile)
Height - 32.5 inches (95th percentile)
Head Circumference (95th percentile)

She had gained some weight and then lost almost a pound while having her cold but, she is just our skinny mini!

She is doing GREAT! As I mentioned, she is working on breaking in some more molars right now, 3, I think! She doesnt much like me sticking my finger in her mouth so I am going with 3 for now! Every day is a learning journey for her! She has so many new words every day, I cant keep track! But, this is the list I have off the top of my head...daddy (by far her FAVORITE word to say!), Mommy, NO, ball, pu pu (purple), hetta (Gretta), ba boo (Rocky...we call him boo boo), door, HIIIIIIIIII, bye bye, uh-oh, mawee (mary, our daycare provider), num num (hungry), pippy (sippy)...I am sure I am missing some, but these are some of the regular.

Of course we are starting to get her used to the idea of a baby brother or sister. At this point I am not worried as she will learn soon enough when the baby comes! She is too little at this point to really understand what is going on so all we can do is talk about the baby and teach her about babies. She's smart. She will learn.

We are 17 weeks along now and everything is going great! I started feeling the baby kick at week 15 but it was just little flutters. Now it is very pronounced kicks, especially at bedtime when I lay down. Last night I thought for sure Nick would be able to feel him/her because they were HARD kicks, but sadly, he couldn't! It wont be long now and he will be able to feel him or her kicking away in there! Our next checkup is on the 21st so I am looking forward to that visit. It is so nice being able to feel the baby now so I dont have to worry all the time, but it is still so amazing to hear the baby too.

March 8th is our 20 (halfway there!) week ultrasound at which time we COULD find out the sex of the baby but will NOT be doing so! It was way too amazing waiting for that news for Miss Adi so we will hold off until delivery! It is going by soooo fast!

Go ahead...start your guesses on the sex...I will be doing the fun game my friend JoEllen started by asking everyone what they think we are having and why they think that! I loved the responses we got for Adi!

15 Months

We are a bit late on getting Adi's 15 month pictures taken because she has been very sick the past week, but late is better than never! Between getting RSV (thank you daycare!) and molars, the poor girl is just EXHAUSTED! She has goopy eyes and runny nose in the pictures, but she is still as beautiful as ever and was a trooper for pictures!
