14 Weeks...Going Strong!

Yesterday we had our 14 week checkup! Everything went really good! We had a very active little baby on our hands so it was a bit difficult to get a good heartbeat reading, but when it was all said and done and we got him/her to calm down for a couple seconds, we got a very clear reading of 150 beats!!! :) Beating heartbeat of our unborn child and Adi's laugh/giggle are the best sounds in the world! I lost a bit of weight which is not a bad thing...Dr. Schad is pleased with my weight and with everything else too! His orders...have fun, be pregnant and enjoy every minute! I agree with him! Even the rough times aren't that rough! We go back in a month and I am already anxious to hear our little guy/girl thumping away in there! It's getting close to the time to start feeling the baby too...that has be really excited! I have felt a few things at this point but nothing to get too excited about, those flutters could be anything at this point still!

Adi is doing wonderful! Her new favorite word is "UH-OH!" EVERYTHING is uh-oh and it is so darn cute! She knows where her ears, eyes, nose, belly button and feet are too! We keep working on colors...which, I thing she says purple but in her words, "pu-pu"! She will be 15 months on Friday and goes for her checkup in a couple weeks!

Everything is great in the Thompson household now that I am feeling a bit better and getting some energy back!

Adi is a Big Sister!

We found out that we have Baby T #2 on the way! We are 11 weeks 3 days pregnant and could not be happier! Adi is going to be a Big Sister and that is so special to us! Although we weren't "planning" this child, God has a mysterious way of working and he would not give us a baby we are not ready for!

Our due date is July 23rd as long as all continues to go well and I don't have to have another c-section! Yes, I am choosing to have a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) if at all possible! Nick and I think this is the best option for us and baby at this point! If there ever comes a time when this is not safe for the baby we will obviously head in for another c-section! I want to hold my baby after I deliver, I want to push through all the pain, I want to have a 1-2 week recovery rather than 6 weeks, BUT, things dont always go the way I want, SO, we will play it by ear and hope all goes well! As we all know, birth is very unpredictable so we will keep an open mind!

We had our first ultrasound December 6, 2011 at which time we were confirmed pregnant!!! The babies heartbeat was 158-160 beats per minute and looked great!

Our second appointment was Tuesday, January 3, 2012 and again, the babies heartbeat was 160 bpm!

We are absolutely so excited and feel so blessed!
