9 Month Well Baby Checkup

Like I said, it has been so crazy and hectic BUT, this past week Adi had her 9 month check and as we all have said over and over, she is living out every girls dream...Tall and thin!

Length: 29 inches
Weight: 17lbs. 11 oz.
Head Circumference: I know they gave me this number but for some reason I havent seen it on my paperwork. Guess I will be call Dr. Murray to get this.

No shots this time! YAY! Next checkup is 12 months at which time she will have blood drawn to check for anemia and 4 shots so it will be a rough day!

I just keep thinking about all the mommas out there that have little chunky monkeys and think how much their arms must hurt because out little 17 pounder hurts! HA! :)

I also have to add that yes, her top teeth have FINALLY came through! The bottom 2 were through, no problem at 4 months old but those top teeth have been little stubborn buggers! But, it's through so mommy and daddy are so very proud! Never thought I would say that, but, it has to be hard work for these little buggers to push these teeth through, so we are proud of her for all her hard work these past months! :)

9 month pictures are being done at JC Penney's tomorrow, so I am sure I will have a little peak for you!

Our Playground

We have been so busy the past few weeks, it has been crazy! But, last Sunday we FINALLY got Adelyn's new playset up and READY TO GO! Now, she is still a bit too small to enjoy all the fun, but she has her baby swing now so she is LOVING that! Thanks to Chris for helping Nick get this all up and ready to go. Now all we need is a bunch of bark and some grass seed and it will be ready to go next summer when she can get a little more use out of it.

The BEFORE...

The AFTER...
Even though Adi has not been able to use it yet, other than her baby swing, dont worry, Nick has tried everything out to make sure it is "secured properly"! And, even Gretta has climbed up the rock latter on the right between the 2 slides AND has tried out BOTH of the slides! Come and play everyone! Adi LOVES play dates! :)

Hats for Casey!

This is a bit late...but last week a friend of ours had to deal with the horrors of having her child go under the knife. I am terrible with the medical name but, Casey was born the same month Adi was but his skull fused together too soon! I am sorry Amy if I don't explain this correctly, but his skull fused together too soon, therefore giving his brain no growing room. The incision is on the top of his head from the top of one ear to the top of the other ear!

I am so happy to report that Casey is HOME and is doing well.

The picture above is Adi in her hat for Casey! There was a group of mommies and babies who wore hats the day of his surgery and deemed it "Hats for Casey!" day!!!!

Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you Amy & Casey!

Happy 4th of July!!!

Adi's first 4th of July was a hit! I decided to take Friday off work to have an extended weekend and head to Grandma & Grandpa Robson's place on the Mississippi River. Adi of course went with me and daddy stayed home and worked but headed up to meet us after work on Saturday. We had lots of fun with Shanna, Cade, Missy, Aaron, Grandma & Grandpa Rodamaker, and of course all of the dogs! Gretta, I think, had the most fun of all though...she LOVED being on the river and wanted to play ball all day and night!

We still have Adi on a pretty strict bedtime, however, we are starting to loosen the reigns a little bit! She did not see any fireworks though. 9:30 or 10 p.m. is WAAAAAY too late for her to be up but that is okay, she will have more fun next year anyway!

We also tried to help our great friends Harry & JoEllen move to their new home as well. We only had a few hours so we didnt get to help nearly as much as we would have liked but at least we got to visit a little bit and see their new home, which is awesome! Of course they have some work ahead of them to get it the way they want, but when it is done, they are going to love it even more than they do already! CONGRATS guys...we are so happy for you!

Back to work...
