LOVING EVERY MINUTE

Last weekend was a very busy weekend for us and Adi has been sleeping enough to prove that we wore her right out. Saturday Adi and myself joined Auntie Melissa, and cousins Austin and Kodie and headed to Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park in the Wisconsin Dells! This was Adi's first REALLY big outing into the world. She LOVED it! She just stared and watched all of the people and absolutely loved all the kids in the kiddy pool. I know, I know, we need to get her out more, but, keeping her healthy was our main priority through the winter AND keeping her on a good, tight schedule and we succeeded, so now, we can start to venture out a bit more.

Sunday we had some visitors as well...Jess & Em came Sunday morning and stayed and visited with us all day! Adi loves having other kids around to watch and play with. Angie and her boyfriend also stopped by for a quick visit! It was great seeing all of them as everyone is SO busy in the summer it is insane to try to see anyone anymore!

I can't leave out the fact that 2 weekends ago we have lots of visitors as well...shame on me for not keeping up with the blog like I should...BUT, Harry, JoEllen, Elly, Lorelai and Baby Harry came to visit us for a day! It was so great having them here. The really sad part is, I had my camera sitting out so we could take pictures of all the kiddos and guess what I did NOT do!?! Yep...not 1 single picture of any of them together! So bummed about that...but, next time we will snap a few, if we can get all 4 of them to sit still for 10 seconds! Not only did we have the Young clan, we also had Nick's cousins from the U.P. of Michigan, Hans & Jenn, staying with us for the weekend! It was GREAT fun seeing all of them!

I have to say...we are so incredibly happy for the Young family as this Friday they are closing on purchasing their very first house!!!! We are thrilled to have them as fellow home owners...the ups and downs are incredible in owning a home, but ALL of the bad things can't take away from the fact that it is YOURS! All yours!!!!! We are so happy and want to say CONGRATULATIONS to them! This is an awesome chapter in their lives and we are thrilled we get to be a part of it!

Okay...I am waaaay off here...sorry for all of the rambling, I just need to make time to keep up...another milestone in this household...Miss Adelyn Jo is ALMOST crawling...she knows what she's gotta do...just cant quite get the movement all together, but ANY day now! I am so proud of her! She is getting so big and I love watching her learn all of these new things, except the LOVING to rip mommy's hair out...I really could do without that! That is why man created ponytail holders...

ADELYN JO THOMPSON, BORN OCTOBER 27, 2010 IS NOW 8 MONTHS OLD...

We love you with all our hearts princess...may all your dreams in life come true...Love, Mommy & Daddy!

Father's Day

Sunday was Nick's first Father's Day and we tried to make it a special day for him! We spent most of the day with family. Sunday morning was coffee with his family and afternoon was a cookout spent with my family!

Adi did a great job shopping with mommy and helped pick out a very nice pressure washer that we surprised Nick with! He was so very happy as now he doesn't have to rely on using his dad's!

Nick said he had the BEST day and that is all we wanted for him! Nick has his bread route and may not put in as many hours as some, but when he isn't at his job, he is with Adi being a stay at home daddy and I could not ask for anything more! He is an amazing father and Adi and I are so blessed to have him in our lives!

New, Fun Stuff

Adi waving "hi" to mommy behind the camera...

Adi is growing in a quick hurry! As much as I beg her to slow down to let me enjoy her every baby stage to the fullest, she is just zooming like crazy! As I sit her typing she is screeching in the other room, which means she is holding her book "reading" as we like to call it!

This weekend we decided to get her baby pool out and give it a try to see how she does and she LOVED it! She is now waving to "hi" and "bye-bye" as you see in the above picture, sitting on her own AND starting to hold her own bottle, which is great and all, but I have been trying to hold her back on the bottle holding...I love my snuggle time with her too much to want her to hold her own bottle. But, I know I need to let her grow, just makes me sad that our baby girl is getting so so so big, so so so fast!

Here she is for the first time getting in a pool! It took her about 30 seconds until she started splashing and playing! We had a GREAT time!

7 MONTHS

My oh my how time has FLOWN...Adi is 7 MONTHS OLD ALREADY!

It is ALMOST impossible to keep our little monthly signs away from her now! And, she is happiest with NO clothes on! So, we choose our little battles already and choose to let her be naked so we can get a smile out of her without her clothes on, or we get photos like the one below, which, don't get me wrong, I still LOVE, but, I love smiles more!!! :)

We are starting to adjust our schedules a little bit now, working on an 8 or 8:30 bedtime for Adi so we can get outside and do more things during the week! Before when she was in bed at 7:30 it worked great as it was dark outside but now we just have too much to do and she LOVES being outside with us! The new schedule is working great and I am loving it too because now when I get home at 5:45-6p.m. I dont feel like I say "hi baby girl!", then "goodnight baby girl" in an hour...that just is NOT enough time for me! Hopefully it continues to work well for us!

Also, a HUGE congrats to Nick's cousins, Hans & Jenn, who are expecting their first child in December!!!! YEAH! We are so excited for them AND for Adi to have a little cousin on Nick's side of the family! She has Baby Bentley on Mommy's side and now she will have another cousin on Daddy's side more her age! Oh...and I have to brag up a bit...Jenn has informed me that they will NOT be finding out the sex of the baby due to our experience and I LOVE this! I can't wait to meet baby Vollenweider this winter!
